Compliance Specialist
Description
We are looking for a Compliance Specialist for a client. This role will ensure accessibility compliance for web content, systems, and software applications. The role will also play a key role in helping the organization achieve and maintain compliance with accessibility requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of Federal agency web content, systems, and software applications to ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Identify accessibility issues and report findings in a clear and actionable manner, proposing effective solutions to address non-compliance.
- Implement remediation strategies to correct identified issues, ensuring that all digital content meets Section 508 standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on accessibility best practices and ensure that new and existing content is compliant.
- Stay informed about the latest Section 508 regulations and accessibility trends, applying this knowledge to improve compliance strategies.
- Assist in the development and documentation of policies and procedures related to accessibility compliance.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in testing and evaluating Federal agency web content, systems, and software applications for Section 508 compliance.
- At least 3 years of experience in reporting findings, proposing solutions, and implementing remedies to support Federal agencies in achieving Section 508 compliance.
- Current Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Trusted Tester V5 Certification.
- Strong understanding of Section 508 standards and guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on improving accessibility.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with development teams to ensure accessibility best practices are followed.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
